Our Verdict
For merchants looking to completely overhaul their store's design, create custom landing pages, or implement robust A/B testing, Instant Section & Page Builder is the clear choice. Its extensive features and template library cater to those seeking a comprehensive solution. However, the learning curve might be steeper and require more commitment.
Modular Blocks: Theme Sections is better suited for merchants who are satisfied with their existing theme's overall design but want to add specific enhancements like animated buttons or size guides. Common Questions
Which app is easier to use for beginners?
Modular Blocks: Theme Sections is likely easier for beginners due to its limited scope and integration directly into the Shopify theme editor. Instant Section & Page Builder, while no-code, has more features and requires more time to learn and utilize effectively.
Which app is better for A/B testing?
Instant Section & Page Builder includes built-in A/B testing features, making it the superior choice for merchants focused on optimizing their store's performance through testing. Modular Blocks: Theme Sections does not offer A/B testing capabilities.
Can I use both apps together?
While technically possible, using both apps might be redundant. If you need the full power of Instant's page building capabilities, Modular Blocks' features may be unnecessary. Consider carefully what you need before installing both.
Does Instant Section & Page Builder work with all Shopify themes?
Instant claims to be an alternative to other page builders, suggesting wide compatibility. However, checking their documentation for a list of supported themes is always recommended for your specific theme version.
How much coding knowledge is required for each app?
Both apps claim to be 'no-code', however customizing Instant Section & Page Builder to achieve very specific, unique designs might require some CSS knowledge, whereas Modular Blocks likely requires less, given its function to merely add blocks to the theme editor.
