Interakt ‑ WhatsApp Marketing vs Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+for Shopify (2026)
Interakt ‑ WhatsApp Marketing and Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+ are Shopify apps sharing the 'Upsell and bundles - Other' category, but they serve fundamentally different purposes. Interakt focuses (or is intended to focus) on WhatsApp marketing. Based on the rating and review count, there is a significant customer sentiment issue with Interakt. Squid, on the other hand, emphasizes on-site conversion optimization through reviews, upsells, and trust badges, aiming to increase Average Order Value (AOV). Squid appears to target merchants wanting a comprehensive suite of tools to build trust and drive sales through strategic product placement and offers. Interakt, in theory, could be suited to merchants heavily relying on WhatsApp as a marketing channel, if its performance aligned with its intention. However, that isn't the case based on its rating.

Our Verdict
Given its extremely low rating and a significant number of reviews, Interakt ‑ WhatsApp Marketing should be approached with extreme caution. It's likely experiencing performance or functionality issues. Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+ presents a much safer and more promising option for merchants seeking to improve their store's conversion rates and AOV. For merchants prioritizing on-site optimization through reviews, upsells, and trust badges, Squid is the clear choice. Interakt may be suitable for merchants with a very specific need for WhatsApp marketing and are willing to risk potential issues based on the current user feedback, but rigorous testing would be required before wide-scale deployment.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
The data provided does not directly address ease of use for either app. However, Squid's description suggests a focus on user-friendliness by aiming for 'natural and effective upsell and cross-sell experiences' and 'without disrupting the customer experience.' Interakt's usability is unknown but the low review score may indicate usability issues.
Which app is better for increasing Average Order Value (AOV)?
Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+ is explicitly designed to increase AOV through a variety of upsell and cross-sell features, including frequently bought together offers, volume discounts, and product bundles. The description highlights 'Squid grows Average Order Value'. Interakt's effect on AOV is unclear and would depend on the effectiveness of its WhatsApp marketing campaigns.
Which app is better for building trust with customers?
Squid is the clear choice for building trust. It offers features such as displaying customer reviews, adding trust badges, and incorporating testimonials. Interakt's functionality in this area is not detailed in the data, making Squid the stronger option for trust-building.
Which app is more reliable based on customer reviews?
Squid is significantly more reliable based on customer reviews. It has a perfect 5/5 rating, though with a smaller sample size of 11 reviews. Interakt has a 0/5 rating with a significantly larger sample size of 165 reviews, indicating a very high likelihood of issues.
Can Interakt's WhatsApp marketing achieve results similar to Squid's on-site upsells?
Potentially, but with a lower probability, based on the data. If Interakt were functioning properly and its WhatsApp marketing was highly effective at driving relevant traffic back to the store with compelling offers, it *could* lead to increased sales and AOV. However, given the poor rating, it's unlikely to deliver these results reliably. Squid's on-site approach offers more direct control and is designed for conversion at the point of purchase.
