Our Verdict
For merchants with straightforward shipping needs and a primary goal of increasing sales through targeted free shipping promotions, RM: Advanced Free Shipping is likely the better choice. Its focus on free shipping discounts and a wider number of conditions can create a powerful conversion engine. However, for merchants with complex shipping requirements, custom boxing requirements, or a need for granular control over shipping rates and branding, Intuitive Shipping provides a more comprehensive solution. Its robust features, SmartBoxing capability, and personalized onboarding support make it a worthwhile investment for those needing advanced shipping management, even with the steeper learning curve. The significant difference in review count suggests Intuitive Shipping has been adopted by a larger user base, indicating greater trust and maturity, although RM: Advanced Free Shipping could offer value based on niche functionality and usability if the features align more closely with current needs.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
RM: Advanced Free Shipping likely offers a quicker setup due to its focused feature set. Intuitive Shipping's comprehensive nature might require more initial configuration, though onboarding support is offered.
Which app offers better customer support?
Intuitive Shipping explicitly states that every plan includes full feature sets, along with support and onboarding services. This suggests a strong emphasis on customer support. RM: Advanced Free Shipping lacks this explicit claim, making Intuitive Shipping a more likely better customer support choice.
Which app is better for international shipping?
Intuitive Shipping, with its granular control over conditions and integration of SmartBoxing for dimensional rates, is likely better for international shipping, especially when customs or varying dimensional weights are factors. RM: Advanced Free Shipping might be suitable if free shipping is offered internationally but could be insufficient to address customs, duties, or localized taxes.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, but it's generally not recommended. There could be conflicts or redundancy in their functionalities, especially if both attempt to modify shipping rates at checkout. It's best to choose the app that best addresses your primary needs.
Which app is more future-proof?
Intuitive Shipping, with its commitment to onboarding and ongoing support, might be considered more future-proof. Their investment in a customer-first model indicates a willingness to evolve alongside shifting business needs. Additionally, their commitment to 'all features in all plans' suggests that they are not restricting their user's ability to scale their shipping operations in the future. The longevity and user base size of Intuitive Shipping suggests that they are a more robust app provider.
