Intuitive Shipping positions itself as a comprehensive solution for stores that have outgrown basic shipping options, offering a high degree of customization and granular control over shipping rates using a vast array of conditions. They emphasize human support and onboarding, suggesting a willingness to handle complex shipping scenarios. Zapiet ‑ Rates by Distance focuses specifically on distance-based shipping and delivery rates, aiming to improve buyer confidence and reduce cart abandonment by calculating rates accurately based on proximity to the store or warehouse. Its key strength lies in its simplicity and focus on location-based pricing. Our Verdict
For established Shopify stores with complex shipping requirements and a desire for complete customization, Intuitive Shipping appears to be the stronger choice. Its high rating and positive reviews suggest reliability and effectiveness, and the included onboarding support is a significant advantage. However, the focus on comprehensive control might mean a steeper learning curve. Zapiet ‑ Rates by Distance is a better fit for businesses that primarily need accurate distance-based shipping calculations, especially those offering local deliveries. The 0/5 rating is a serious concern, suggesting potential issues that should be investigated thoroughly before committing to the app. If the app functions correctly and provides accurate distance rates, and this is your primary need, it could be a valuable tool. Given the significant difference in reviews and rating, one must proceed with caution if choosing Zapiet.
