Inventory Management ‑ Assisty vs Zigpoll Customer Surveysfor Shopify (2026)
Inventory Management ‑ Assisty and Zigpoll Customer Surveys, while both categorized under Operations and Analytics in the Shopify app store, cater to fundamentally different needs. Assisty focuses on optimizing inventory management using AI to predict demand, automate reordering, and track stock levels. It aims to solve problems related to overstocking and stockouts, directly impacting a merchant's operational efficiency and bottom line. On the other hand, Zigpoll specializes in gathering customer feedback through various survey types (post-purchase, pre-purchase, NPS, etc.) delivered via multiple channels like on-site pop-ups, email, and SMS. The core difference lies in their objective: Assisty aims to improve internal operations related to inventory, while Zigpoll focuses on gathering external insights from customers to improve the overall customer experience, marketing strategies, and product development. Assisty leverages AI to forecast demand, while Zigpoll utilizes AI for analyzing survey responses to extract actionable insights. Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with inaccurate inventory forecasting, leading to lost sales or excessive storage costs, Inventory Management ‑ Assisty is the clear choice. Its AI-powered demand forecasting and automated reordering features offer a direct solution to optimize stock levels and improve profitability. However, merchants who prioritize understanding customer needs and improving the customer journey should strongly consider Zigpoll Customer Surveys. Its versatile survey options and AI-driven analysis provide valuable insights for enhancing products, marketing strategies, and the overall customer experience.
While both apps are valuable tools, their focus areas are distinct. A merchant might even benefit from using both apps in conjunction: Assisty for optimizing the internal supply chain, and Zigpoll for gathering customer feedback to inform product development and marketing decisions related to the inventory being managed. However, if forced to choose only one, the decision should be guided by the merchant's most pressing business need: inventory optimization or customer understanding.
Common Questions
Does Assisty collect customer feedback?
No, Assisty focuses on analyzing sales data and market trends to forecast demand, not directly gathering customer feedback. It works by observing what customers are buying, not asking them why.
Can Zigpoll manage my inventory?
No, Zigpoll is designed for creating and analyzing surveys, not for managing inventory levels or automating purchase orders. It gathers data about customer preferences and behaviors.
Are both apps easy to use?
While both aim for user-friendliness, Zigpoll emphasizes a no-code setup in seconds. Assisty, with its AI algorithms, might require some initial configuration to align with the merchant's specific business needs and product catalog. However, both descriptions suggest a relatively simple user experience.
How do these apps impact profitability?
Assisty aims to increase profitability by minimizing stockouts (leading to lost sales) and reducing overstocking (leading to storage costs and potential markdowns). Zigpoll aims to improve profitability by identifying customer pain points, optimizing marketing campaigns, and enhancing product offerings, ultimately leading to increased conversion rates and customer loyalty.
Do both apps offer integrations?
Yes. Assisty focuses on supplier and location management integrations. Zigpoll focuses on integrations with Shopify customer/order dashboards, and the merchant's existing marketing stack.
