Inventory Planner by Sage vs SKU IQ for TikTok Shop or POSfor Shopify (2026)
Inventory Planner by Sage and SKU IQ for TikTok Shop or POS are both inventory management apps on the Shopify platform, but they cater to different needs. Inventory Planner by Sage, with a higher rating of 4.4/5 based on 145 reviews, appears to be a more general inventory planning tool. SKU IQ for TikTok Shop or POS, on the other hand, focuses specifically on synchronizing inventory, orders, and product catalogs with TikTok Shop and point-of-sale (POS) systems, aiming to eliminate double-data entry and prevent overselling. Its rating is lower, at 3.5/5 from 123 reviews. The primary difference lies in their scope. Inventory Planner likely offers broader inventory forecasting and management capabilities (though the limited data doesn't provide specifics). SKU IQ's strength is its tight integration with TikTok Shop and POS systems, offering features like order fulfillment directly from Shopify and dedicated US-based support for synchronization issues. This makes it a niche solution tailored for merchants heavily reliant on TikTok Shop or in-person sales. The onboarding consultation offered by SKU IQ might also attract merchants new to multi-channel inventory management. Ultimately, the choice between the two depends on a merchant's specific requirements. If the primary need is comprehensive inventory planning, Inventory Planner by Sage is likely the better choice. However, if the focus is on seamless integration with TikTok Shop and/or a POS system to eliminate data entry, SKU IQ for TikTok Shop or POS is more appropriate.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing a broad solution for inventory planning and forecasting across all channels, Inventory Planner by Sage, with its higher rating and greater number of reviews, may be the better option. The higher rating suggests greater overall satisfaction among users. However, for merchants specifically focused on leveraging TikTok Shop or a POS system, and needing tight integration with their Shopify store, SKU IQ for TikTok Shop or POS is the clear winner. Its focused feature set and US-based support cater specifically to these needs, outweighing the lower rating if those integrations are paramount.
Ultimately, if you're selling primarily on TikTok Shop, SKU IQ is the obvious choice. If TikTok is a smaller part of your strategy or you are just looking for a general inventory solution, Inventory Planner by Sage is likely better suited to your needs.
