iWeb Loyalty Rewards vs Persistent Cart ‑ Sync Devicesfor Shopify (2026)
iWeb Loyalty Rewards and Persistent Cart - Sync Devices are both listed under the 'Customer Loyalty - Other' category on Shopify, but they address fundamentally different aspects of customer loyalty. iWeb Loyalty Rewards focuses on building a traditional points-based loyalty program to incentivize repeat purchases and increase customer retention. It aims to convert visitors into loyal customers by offering rewards like discounts, free shipping, and free products for accumulating loyalty points. Persistent Cart, on the other hand, targets cross-device shoppers by ensuring they don't lose their shopping carts when switching between devices. It aims to reduce cart abandonment and increase average order value by seamlessly loading the latest cart when a customer logs in, without using intrusive notifications. The primary difference lies in their approach to fostering loyalty. iWeb Loyalty Rewards employs an active rewards system, requiring merchants to configure and customize their loyalty program. Persistent Cart offers a more passive solution, working in the background to improve the customer experience by preventing cart loss and reducing the likelihood of abandonment. The apps cater to merchants with distinct priorities: one focusing on building structured loyalty programs, and the other on streamlining the shopping experience across devices to recover potentially lost sales.

Our Verdict
Persistent Cart - Sync Devices is likely the superior choice for most merchants, especially those observing high traffic across multiple devices. Its high rating and positive reviews suggest a reliable and effective solution for reducing cart abandonment. Its automatic functionality offers a seamless customer experience without requiring extensive configuration. The lack of reviews and zero rating for iWeb Loyalty Rewards is a significant red flag, indicating potential issues with the app's functionality or support.
While a points-based loyalty program can be valuable, iWeb Loyalty Rewards' current state makes it a risky proposition. Merchants specifically seeking a customizable loyalty program with points, discounts and custom rules might *consider* iWeb if it gains positive traction and reviews later, but should proceed with extreme caution. In the absence of data indicating reliability or usability, Persistent Cart's proven solution for addressing cross-device cart abandonment is the safer and more effective option for enhancing customer loyalty and increasing sales.
