Jedi ‑ Stock Counter vs Stockyfor Shopify (2026)
Jedi ‑ Stock Counter and Stocky are both Shopify apps in the inventory management space, but cater to different merchant needs. Jedi ‑ Stock Counter, with a significantly higher rating of 4.9/5 based on 66 reviews, likely focuses on simplicity and ease of use for general stock counting purposes. Its name implies a core function of stocktaking, suggesting it might be geared toward merchants needing a straightforward solution for this specific task. Stocky, on the other hand, positions itself as an "Inventory Management for Shopify POS Pro" solution. Its much lower rating of 2.8/5 (though with a larger sample size of 200 reviews) suggests potential usability or functionality issues despite its more comprehensive feature set. It's clearly targeted towards brick-and-mortar retailers using Shopify POS Pro who require integrated inventory management features such as purchase order creation, supplier communication, stocktake functionalities with barcode scanning in POS, and in-depth reporting. Its value proposition revolves around optimizing inventory decisions and enabling in-store staff workflows.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing a straightforward and highly-rated solution primarily for stock counting and basic inventory tracking, Jedi ‑ Stock Counter appears to be the better choice, given its significantly higher rating and implied ease of use.
However, brick-and-mortar retailers heavily reliant on Shopify POS Pro who require a more comprehensive inventory management system with features like purchase order management, integrated stocktakes, and in-depth analytics, Stocky might be worth considering *despite* its lower rating. These merchants should thoroughly investigate the reasons behind the low rating to determine if those issues affect their specific use case. It could be that recent updates have negatively impacted the reviews, or that the complexity is causing usability issues for some users. If the POS Pro integration is crucial, Stocky might be the only option, but careful consideration of user feedback and potential workarounds are essential.
