JOIN Stories vs Moast Shoppable Videos & UGCfor Shopify (2026)
JOIN Stories and Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC both aim to enhance the shopping experience through visual content, but they focus on different formats. JOIN Stories centers on the Web Stories format, described as immersive and mobile-first, emphasizing storytelling and visual impact. It allows merchants to create stories, add products to them, and integrate them into their websites, providing analytics to track performance. Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC, on the other hand, leverages video and user-generated content (UGC), presumably offering features related to making videos directly shoppable. The primary difference lies in the content format: stories versus videos/UGC. JOIN Stories is geared towards merchants looking to engage customers with short-form, narrative content akin to social media stories, focusing on brand voice and immersive experiences. Moast, however, is better suited for businesses that want to utilize longer-form video content or leverage existing customer videos to promote their products. One key point is that Moast has significantly more reviews (107) than JOIN Stories (1), providing a greater level of social proof and potentially indicating a more established user base. Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's content strategy. Do they prioritize bite-sized, visually driven narratives or more in-depth video content and the power of user recommendations? The review count is also a critical factor when evaluating risk.

Our Verdict
For merchants looking to quickly implement a mobile-first, story-driven format to showcase their brand's personality, JOIN Stories might be appealing, especially if they are early adopters. However, the extremely low review count is a significant risk. On the other hand, Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC, with its substantial review count, offers a more established solution for merchants wanting to leverage the power of video and user-generated content for sales.
If the merchant already has a library of videos or a strategy to collect customer testimonials, Moast would likely be the better choice. Given the significant difference in the number of reviews, Moast seems like a more reliable option unless the merchant specifically requires the story format and is comfortable being an early adopter with JOIN Stories.
