Joy: Loyalty Program & Rewards vs Shopney ‑ Mobile App Builderfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants face a choice between Joy: Loyalty Program & Rewards and Shopney ‑ Mobile App Builder, both aiming to enhance customer engagement and sales. Joy focuses specifically on building customer loyalty through a rewards program, offering features tailored to that purpose. It boasts a high rating with a significant number of reviews, suggesting widespread adoption and satisfaction with its core loyalty program functionality. Shopney, on the other hand, takes a broader approach by transforming a Shopify store into a native iOS and Android mobile app. Its value proposition centers around increasing conversions, reducing marketing spend through push notifications, and providing a smoother, faster shopping experience. Shopney aims to provide a complete mobile solution with features like personalized shopping experiences, in-app live chat, and integration with other Shopify apps. While also highly rated, Shopney's lower review count may indicate a more niche appeal or potentially a newer user base. The key difference lies in the scope: Joy provides a targeted loyalty program, while Shopney offers a full-fledged mobile app experience. Merchants need to assess whether they require a dedicated loyalty program or a comprehensive mobile app to decide which solution better fits their needs.

Our Verdict
The choice between Joy and Shopney hinges on the merchant's priorities. Its high rating and significant review count suggest a well-established and effective platform for loyalty management.
However, if the merchant's strategy revolves around mobile-first commerce, reducing reliance on web-based shopping, and leveraging push notifications for marketing, Shopney ‑ Mobile App Builder is the better choice. While it has fewer reviews, its 5/5 rating and comprehensive feature set for mobile app building offer a compelling path to increased mobile conversions and reduced ad spend. Shopney also includes standout customer support, which is a huge bonus.
