Jump: Affiliate Shops & Links vs Roster: Ambassador Marketingfor Shopify (2026)
Jump: Affiliate Shops & Links and Roster: Ambassador Marketing both aim to increase sales through external advocates, but they approach it from different angles. Jump focuses on building a comprehensive affiliate and referral program, providing tools to manage affiliates, create custom storefronts, and track performance with advanced analytics and even includes an AI assistant. It positions itself as an enterprise-level solution, offering features like an affiliate network, dynamic commissions, and personalized discount codes to attract larger businesses or those seeking a robust and highly customizable platform. Roster, on the other hand, emphasizes community building by focusing on ambassador marketing. It aims to leverage a brand's most passionate fans to drive awareness and sales through social campaigns, UGC collection, and incentivized rewards. The key difference lies in their approach. Jump offers a broader, more structured affiliate marketing system akin to traditional affiliate programs with performance-based compensation. Roster takes a more community-driven approach, engaging existing fans and brand advocates to create authentic content and spread awareness. Jump seems best suited for merchants wanting structured affiliate programs with scalability in mind, while Roster targets businesses focusing on fostering a deeper connection with their existing fanbase to organically grow brand awareness.
