Kaching Custom Cursor vs Ptengine ‑ Heatmaps, AB testfor Shopify (2026)
Kaching Custom Cursor and Ptengine - Heatmaps, AB test are two Shopify apps that, despite sharing the 'Design elements - Other' category, serve vastly different purposes. Kaching Custom Cursor focuses on aesthetic personalization, allowing merchants to customize the website cursor with pre-designed options or uploaded designs. This app aims to enhance brand memorability and create a unique user experience through a small but noticeable design element. Ptengine - Heatmaps, AB test, on the other hand, is a comprehensive e-commerce optimization tool. It offers features such as heatmaps, A/B testing, real-time analytics, audience segmentation, and pop-up/sticky bar functionalities. Ptengine is designed to provide data-driven insights into user behavior and optimize the store for improved conversions and sales. The lack of focus on design makes it unsuitable for aesthetic applications. The primary difference lies in their functionality: one is about minor aesthetic customization, while the other is about broad data-driven website optimization. The target audiences also diverge, with Kaching Custom Cursor aiming for merchants prioritizing unique visual branding, and Ptengine targeting those focused on conversion rate optimization and data-driven marketing.
