Kedra Shield: Website Security vs ∞ Password Page + Lock Pagesfor Shopify (2026)
Kedra Shield: Website Security and ∞ Password Page + Lock Pages both fall under the 'Security - Other' category on the Shopify app store, but they address very different aspects of security. Kedra Shield aims to provide broader website security, though the provided information lacks specifics regarding its protections. In contrast, ∞ Password Page + Lock Pages focuses on granular access control, allowing merchants to password-protect individual pages, products, or collections within their Shopify store, addressing a limitation of Shopify's native password protection that only applies to the entire store. ∞ Password Page + Lock Pages targets merchants seeking to restrict access to specific content, such as B2B catalogs, VIP drops, or event landing pages. Its key selling point is ease of use, requiring no theme edits or code to implement password protection. It also offers customization options for the lock screen, including branding and language. The app appeals to merchants who need fine-grained control over content visibility and want to provide a customized experience for specific customer segments. Kedra Shield's value proposition is less clear due to the limited information available, though the name indicates a broader security focus.

Our Verdict
∞ Password Page + Lock Pages is the better choice for merchants who need to control access to specific content within their Shopify store. Its ease of use, theme compatibility, and customization options make it a compelling solution for B2B catalogs, VIP drops, or other scenarios where selective content visibility is crucial. The higher rating, though based on a small sample size, supports this conclusion.
While Kedra Shield: Website Security might offer valuable general security features, the lack of specific information makes it difficult to assess its suitability. Without more details, it's impossible to recommend it over ∞ Password Page + Lock Pages for the specific use case of controlling access to individual pages or products. Merchants seeking broader website protection should investigate Kedra Shield further to understand its capabilities, but for content gating, ∞ Password Page + Lock Pages appears to be the superior choice.
