Kite Discount, Free Gift, BOGO vs LV Size Charts, Product Badgesfor Shopify (2026)
Kite Discount, Free Gift, BOGO and LV Size Charts, Product Badges are both Shopify apps that contribute to sales growth, but they cater to different aspects of the customer journey and merchant needs. Kite Discount is primarily focused on boosting sales through strategic discounting and promotions, offering a range of discount types like BOGO, tiered discounts, and free gifts triggered by specific cart conditions. It aims to increase average order value and conversion rates by incentivizing customers to spend more. On the other hand, LV Size Charts, Product Badges concentrates on building trust and reducing returns by providing product information and assurances, especially with size charts and GDPR compliance. While both apps technically belong to the Discounts category, LV Size Charts, Product Badges has a much broader appeal extending beyond discounts. It aims to improve the overall shopping experience by adding credibility through product badges highlighting features and offers, while also reducing returns using accurate size charts. Kite Discount is more narrowly focused on driving immediate sales through various discounting tactics, and migrating Shopify Scripts to a new discount function. This makes them suitable for different types of merchants, depending on their specific pain points and growth strategies.

Its robust features, including BOGO, tiered discounts, and progress bars, provide a comprehensive toolkit for incentivizing purchases. The significant number of positive reviews further validates its effectiveness. However, merchants struggling with high return rates, particularly in the apparel or accessories categories, and those needing to improve customer trust and GDPR compliance, should strongly consider LV Size Charts, Product Badges. The app's focus on accurate size charts and trust-building elements provides a more targeted solution for those specific challenges.
While Kite Discount boasts a higher rating and vastly more reviews, the ultimate decision depends on the merchant's specific needs.
