Kite Discount, Free Gift, BOGO vs Rockit Discounts & Sales Appfor Shopify (2026)
Kite Discount, Free Gift, BOGO and Rockit Discounts & Sales App both aim to enhance sales for Shopify merchants, but they approach this goal with different focuses. Kite emphasizes versatile discount structures, including free gifts, Buy X Get Y (BOGO) offers, tiered discounts, and free shipping discounts, alongside progress bars to incentivize spending. It also supports custom discount functions, effectively replacing Shopify Script Editor. Rockit, on the other hand, concentrates on sales management through flash sales, scheduled discounts, and bulk price editing with a strong focus on displaying sale prices and creating urgency with countdown timers and badges. Kite appears positioned for merchants who need complex, customizable discount strategies and want to offer incentives based on cart value or quantity. It's a good choice for businesses looking to replicate or migrate existing Shopify Scripts-based discounts. Rockit caters to merchants prioritizing streamlined sales management, easy scheduling, and impactful visual sale indicators, such as badges and countdown timers. It's more focused on simple sales promotions rather than complex discount logic. This distinction is evident in their feature sets and described use cases. The reviews are similar for both, but Kite has slightly more, suggesting potentially wider adoption or a longer time on the market.
