Our Verdict
Klip Coupons is the clear choice for the vast majority of Shopify merchants looking to enhance their sales through diverse promotional strategies. Its strong rating and positive reviews suggest a reliable and effective solution for creating product discounts, cart coupons, and flash sales. PIE VAT, on the other hand, is a highly specialized app that only benefits merchants with a significant tourist customer base. Furthermore, its lack of reviews and the requirement of a pre-existing Pie VAT account raise concerns about its usability and overall value for merchants unfamiliar with the service. If you're not actively targeting or serving tourists, Klip Coupons is the far superior choice.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the information available, Klip Coupons likely offers a simpler setup process as it focuses on common promotional activities. PIE VAT requires an external account with Pie VAT, potentially adding complexity to the initial setup and integration.
Which app is more likely to increase my revenue?
Klip Coupons is designed to directly increase sales by offering discounts and promotions to a broad customer base. PIE VAT focuses on attracting tourists, which can increase revenue if you have a high volume of tourist shoppers. It may be an indirect link to revenue.
If I have a physical store and an online store, which app is better?
The advantage goes to PIE VAT if your physical location draws a lot of tourists and sells tourist-friendly items. Both may be useful, but Klip Coupons would likely be more important as it's for every store owner.
Does Klip Coupons require me to manually generate coupon codes?
No, Klip Coupons offers 'clippable' coupons that do not require customers to enter codes at checkout, streamlining the purchasing process.
Is PIE VAT useful if I primarily sell digital products?
Likely not. VAT refunds are typically associated with physical goods purchased by tourists. PIE VAT is therefore more relevant to merchants selling physical products that tourists would purchase and take with them.
