Kotobee vs LinkIT ‑ Sell Digital Productsfor Shopify (2026)
Kotobee and LinkIT ‑ Sell Digital Products both cater to merchants selling digital goods on Shopify, but they differ significantly in their approach and target audience. Kotobee focuses exclusively on selling ebooks, providing a dedicated platform for managing and delivering digital publications. It offers granular control over access, allowing merchants to link products to specific chapters, categories, or entire ebook libraries. The strength of Kotobee lies in its integrated ebook management system, catering to authors, publishers, and educators. LinkIT ‑ Sell Digital Products, on the other hand, adopts a more versatile and flexible approach. It allows merchants to sell any digital product hosted on various platforms, including Google Drive, Dropbox, YouTube, and Vimeo. This makes it a suitable choice for merchants selling diverse digital content such as courses, videos, PDFs, and access to private communities. LinkIT's ease of use stems from its reliance on existing storage and hosting solutions, requiring merchants only to copy and paste a link. The strength of LinkIT is its broad applicability across various digital product types and its user-friendly integration with commonly used platforms.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily selling ebooks and needing a dedicated platform for secure delivery and management, Kotobee could be a potential solution. However, its lack of reviews raises concerns about reliability and user experience. It's a highly specialized product with no user validation as of 2026. On the other hand, LinkIT ‑ Sell Digital Products is better suited for merchants selling a wider range of digital products and who value ease of use and integration with existing storage and hosting solutions. The one 5-star review, while minimal, offers some initial validation. Given its flexibility and easier setup, LinkIT is the generally recommended choice, especially for merchants starting out or those with diverse digital product offerings.
