Kuba Labs vs Loyal • Customer Segmentsfor Shopify (2026)
Kuba Labs and Loyal • Customer Segments are both marketing apps for Shopify, but they address different needs and target different merchant profiles. Kuba Labs focuses on leveraging WhatsApp for direct customer communication and automation, particularly for order updates, promotions, and abandoned cart recovery. Loyal • Customer Segments, on the other hand, is focused on customer segmentation based on loyalty metrics (recency, frequency, monetary value) and integrates with email marketing platforms like Klaviyo to improve customer retention. The core difference lies in their communication channels and marketing strategies. Kuba Labs prioritizes immediate, interactive WhatsApp messaging for customer engagement, while Loyal • Customer Segments focuses on long-term retention through targeted email campaigns based on customer segmentation. Kuba Labs appears to be more suitable for merchants looking for an immediate boost in sales through direct messaging, while Loyal is designed for merchants looking to improve long term customer retention strategies and optimize their existing email marketing efforts. Our Verdict
If you are an Italian-speaking business that needs a direct boost in sales and prefers to communicate with customers via WhatsApp, Kuba Labs is the better option. Its focus on immediate communication and automation makes it ideal for businesses seeking quick engagement. If, however, you are looking to build long-term customer loyalty through segmented email marketing campaigns, and have experience with platforms like Klaviyo, Loyal • Customer Segments is the superior choice. It provides powerful tools for customer segmentation and targeted marketing strategies, enabling you to increase retention and customer lifetime value. Given the larger number of reviews, Loyal may also represent a slightly lower-risk investment, however, it's not statistically significant with such a small sample size.
