KwikPass: OTP‑login & Popups vs Monocle: AI Personalizationfor Shopify (2026)
KwikPass: OTP‑login & Popups and Monocle: AI Personalization both aim to boost sales for Shopify merchants, but they approach the problem from vastly different angles. KwikPass focuses on top-of-funnel conversion by streamlining the login process and engaging new visitors with interactive pop-ups, ultimately aiming to identify anonymous shoppers and incentivize immediate purchases. Monocle, on the other hand, focuses on post-purchase retention and increasing customer lifetime value (LTV) by leveraging AI to personalize customer journeys across email, SMS, and onsite experiences. KwikPass seems geared towards attracting and converting new users quickly with easy login and promotions, while Monocle seeks to maximize the value of existing customers with tailored engagement strategies. The key differentiator lies in their target areas: KwikPass concentrates on initial visitor engagement and lead capture via OTP login and gamified pop-ups like "Spin the Wheel", providing a faster route to converting anonymous visitors into customers. Monocle skips initial user acquisition, instead using AI to personalize messaging and optimise the customer lifecycle with automated segmentation and optimized messaging across different touchpoints. Their approaches complement each other; stores could potentially use both to increase both new customer conversion and the lifetime value of each customer. While both have a 5/5 rating, the review count significantly varies, with KwikPass boasting 72 reviews compared to Monocle's single review. This could indicate KwikPass has a larger user base and potentially a longer track record, while Monocle might be a newer app with less publicly available user feedback.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants prioritizing immediate conversion and lead capture, KwikPass: OTP‑login & Popups appears to be a strong choice, particularly for its streamlined login process and engaging pop-ups. The higher number of reviews also lends some credibility. It's ideal for stores that want to make it as easy as possible for new visitors to create an account and make a purchase.
On the other hand, Monocle: AI Personalization is better suited for merchants who already have a customer base and are looking to improve customer retention and increase lifetime value. It streamlines and automates personalization, saving time that might otherwise be spent manually segmenting users and building customer journeys. However, the single review means it's hard to assess its real-world effectiveness. Depending on the merchant's tech sophistication, the AI element might also be an added attraction.
