Lably—Product Labels & Badges vs PIX ‑ PreLoaderfor Shopify (2026)
Lably—Product Labels & Badges and PIX - PreLoader, while both categorized as 'Design elements' in the Shopify app store, address completely different needs for merchants. Lably focuses on visual merchandising and sales conversion through the strategic use of product labels and badges. Its strength lies in its extensive library of pre-designed labels and customization options, allowing merchants to highlight promotions, special offers, or key product attributes. In contrast, PIX - PreLoader is geared towards improving the customer's browsing experience and potentially increasing site speed perception through loading screens, transitions, and lazy loading of media. PIX aims to enhance the initial moments a user spends on a store, focusing on branding and perceived performance. However, its current rating and low number of reviews suggest potential issues with its implementation or user satisfaction. Lably, on the other hand, boasts a perfect rating and a significant number of reviews, indicating a more established and reliable solution for merchants seeking to visually promote products. The target audience for Lably is primarily merchants looking to boost sales through visual cues, while PIX is aimed at those concerned about website performance and creating a polished brand experience, although its reliability is questionable based on current data.

Our Verdict
For merchants looking to immediately impact sales and conversion rates through visual merchandising, Lably—Product Labels & Badges is the clear choice. Its high rating and numerous reviews suggest a reliable and effective solution. The extensive library of pre-designed labels and customizable display conditions make it easy to create targeted campaigns.
PIX - PreLoader, on the other hand, is a riskier proposition. While the concept of improving user experience with loading screens and lazy loading is appealing, the extremely low rating and lack of reviews raise serious concerns about its stability and effectiveness. Unless a merchant is specifically struggling with perceived site speed issues and willing to experiment with an unproven app, Lably is the safer and more likely to yield positive results.
Common Questions
