Latch ‑ Restricted Products vs TS Security & Country IP blockfor Shopify (2026)
Latch ‑ Restricted Products and TS Security & Country IP block both aim to enhance security for Shopify merchants, but they address fundamentally different aspects. Latch focuses on controlling access to specific *products*, presumably restricting who can view or purchase them. Its target users are likely merchants who need to manage sensitive or age-restricted items, or those implementing tiered access based on customer segments. TS Security & Country IP block, on the other hand, concentrates on *blocking IP addresses*, particularly those originating from specific countries. This suggests its primary value proposition is preventing malicious traffic, bot attacks, and unauthorized access from unwanted regions. The key difference lies in their security focus. Latch offers product-level restrictions, while TS Security addresses broader network-level threats. The significant disparity in review counts (2 vs. 27) indicates that TS Security currently has a larger user base and potentially more established functionality or support. While both apps boast a perfect 5-star rating, the rating for TS Security is based on a much larger sample size, lending it greater credibility. Choosing between the two depends entirely on the specific security challenge a merchant faces.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Latch ‑ Restricted Products and TS Security & Country IP block depends on a merchant's specific needs. If the primary concern is managing access to sensitive products or implementing tiered product offerings, Latch is the more suitable choice. However, if the merchant is facing issues with bot traffic, malicious attacks from specific countries, or simply wants to limit access based on geographic location, TS Security & Country IP block is the better option. While Latch has a limited number of reviews, it can still be a great app if you want to restrict specific products. For overall reliability based on more user feedback, TS Security may be preferable, despite both having perfect ratings.
