Latori Tax Exempt Manager vs Oxilayer PDF Invoice Generatorfor Shopify (2026)
Latori Tax Exempt Manager and Oxilayer PDF Invoice Generator, while both categorized under Finances and Taxes on the Shopify app store, cater to distinct needs. Latori focuses on simplifying B2B sales by automating VAT ID verification and tax exemption management, specifically for EU cross-border transactions. Its core strength lies in its ability to handle complex tax regulations related to B2B sales, ensuring compliance and streamlining the sales process for merchants dealing with wholesale or business customers. The integration of VIES verification and marketplace compatibility further enhances its appeal for businesses engaged in EU-wide sales. Oxilayer, on the other hand, excels in generating PDF invoices, implying a broader focus on invoice customization and automation, possibly beyond just tax-related features. The critical difference between the two lies in their primary function. Latori directly manages tax exemption complexities, particularly relevant for B2B EU sales. Oxilayer, based on its name, is primarily an invoice generation tool that creates PDFs. The vastly different rating and review counts suggest Oxilayer might be a more established and user-approved general solution for invoice creation, while Latori might be a more niche solution targeted at B2B sellers needing very specific tax compliance assistance. Merchants should carefully consider whether they need comprehensive B2B tax automation or a broader invoice customization solution.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants heavily involved in B2B sales within the EU, especially those needing to comply with VAT regulations, Latori Tax Exempt Manager is likely the more suitable choice, despite its lower rating and review count. Its focus on tax exemption management, VAT ID verification, and compliance with EU regulations addresses the specific needs of this type of business. However, the lower rating suggests there might be areas needing improvement in user experience or support.
Merchants seeking a general solution for creating and customizing invoices, without the specific need for EU B2B tax exemption management, would find Oxilayer PDF Invoice Generator a better fit. Its high rating and significant number of reviews suggest a reliable and well-regarded app for this purpose. However, it is crucial to investigate Oxilayer's actual tax features and ensure they are compliant if needed.
