Our Verdict
If you're a Shopify Plus merchant needing a way to automate complex sales campaigns and product releases, Launchpad might seem like a viable option at first glance. However, the app's very low rating of 2/5 with only 32 reviews is a significant red flag. SupaEasy is the better choice for most merchants. SupaEasy is the superior choice for any Shopify merchant needing to customize checkout functionality using Shopify Functions, especially those migrating from Shopify Scripts. Its accessibility across all Shopify plans, combined with a strong rating and positive reviews, makes it the more reliable and widely applicable option. The AI assistance feature also simplifies complex tasks for those without coding expertise.
Common Questions
Can both apps be used on the same Shopify store?
Potentially, but their functionalities are largely distinct. Launchpad automates sales campaigns, while SupaEasy customizes checkout functions. There may be limited overlap or interference, but careful configuration would be necessary.
Which app is easier to use for a non-technical merchant?
SupaEasy: AI Functions creator is designed for non-technical users, leveraging AI to generate code. Launchpad, while integrated into the Shopify admin, still requires a degree of understanding of Shopify scripts and themes.
Which app is more forward-looking, considering Shopify's deprecation of Scripts?
SupaEasy is definitely the more forward-looking app. It directly addresses the deprecation of Shopify Scripts by facilitating migration to Shopify Functions, which is the future of checkout customization.
Does Launchpad offer features similar to SupaEasy?
Not directly. While Launchpad can automate discounts through Shopify Scripts, it doesn't offer the AI-powered generation and comprehensive customization of delivery, payment, and validation functions like SupaEasy does.
What are the risks of using Launchpad with such a low rating?
A low rating suggests potential issues with reliability, functionality, or customer support. Merchants should thoroughly investigate the specific complaints in the reviews before committing to using Launchpad.
