Lighthouse: Slack Alerts vs Order Management — Trackeasyfor Shopify (2026)
Lighthouse: Slack Alerts and Order Management — Trackeasy, while both falling under the 'Staff notifications' category in the Shopify app store, cater to distinctly different needs. Lighthouse focuses on providing real-time Slack notifications for specific Shopify orders, prioritizing order value and ease of use. Its primary goal is to keep merchants immediately informed about high-value transactions. In contrast, Order Management — Trackeasy offers a comprehensive order tracking and management solution, designed to streamline order preparation and delivery processes across multiple devices and locations. The key distinction lies in their approach to order information. Lighthouse excels at providing immediate, targeted alerts, while Order Management — Trackeasy provides a detailed, multi-stage view of the entire order fulfillment process. This makes Lighthouse ideal for smaller shops that want high-value order notifications, and Trackeasy a better fit for businesses like restaurants or warehouses that require complex order tracking and management capabilities, potentially across multiple users and locations.

Our Verdict
For a small to medium-sized Shopify store owner primarily concerned with receiving immediate notifications about high-value orders and wanting a simple setup integrated with Slack, Lighthouse: Slack Alerts is the clear choice. Its straightforward filtering and notification system offers a focused solution.
However, if you operate a business with complex order fulfillment processes, such as a restaurant with a kitchen or a warehouse with multiple employees and locations, Order Management — Trackeasy provides a more robust and comprehensive solution. Its multi-stage tracking, multi-device support, and reporting capabilities are essential for managing complex order flows, outweighing any simplicity offered by Lighthouse.
