Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants in 2026, Scarcity+ Cart Countdown Timer presents a safer and more feature-rich choice. Its established user base (20 reviews), specific focus on cart countdown timers, and features like cart emptying and product-specific targeting offer greater control and flexibility in implementing scarcity tactics. Lightning Deals: Sales Booster, while promising, lacks sufficient evidence of effectiveness and a clear feature set, making it a riskier option. If a merchant is looking for an unproven app with more undefined functionality, they may choose Lightning Deals, but should proceed cautiously due to the limited user feedback.
