LinkIT ‑ Sell Digital Products vs Tevello Courses & Communitiesfor Shopify (2026)
LinkIT ‑ Sell Digital Products and Tevello Courses & Communities both aim to enable Shopify merchants to sell digital products, but their approaches and target audiences differ significantly. LinkIT focuses on simplicity and integration with existing cloud storage and video platforms like Google Drive, YouTube, and Dropbox. Its strength lies in its ease of use and flexibility for merchants who already host their content elsewhere. Tevello, on the other hand, offers a more comprehensive solution centered around creating online courses, building communities, and upselling physical products alongside digital content. It aims to provide a complete learning management system (LMS) directly within Shopify. Given the provided data, Tevello boasts a significantly larger user base, evidenced by its 395 reviews compared to LinkIT's single review. This suggests Tevello has established itself as a more popular or well-known option. While both apps have a 5-star rating, the vastly different number of reviews impacts the trustworthiness and reliability of that rating. LinkIT appeals to merchants seeking a quick and easy way to monetize existing digital assets, while Tevello caters to those looking to create structured online courses and learning communities with integrated upsell opportunities. The key difference is that Tevello provides a complete LMS inside Shopify, while LinkIT simply sells access to your already hosted files.

Our Verdict
For merchants with a small library of digital products already hosted on platforms like Google Drive or YouTube, and who need a simple solution for selling access, LinkIT ‑ Sell Digital Products might be a suitable option. Its ease of use and direct integration with existing services are its strengths. However, given the extremely low review count, due diligence is crucial.
On the other hand, if a merchant wants to build a complete online learning platform with structured courses, community features, and the ability to upsell physical products alongside digital content, Tevello Courses & Communities is the clear choice. The larger user base, as reflected in the high number of reviews, suggests a more mature and feature-rich platform, though it might require more initial setup and learning.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the descriptions, LinkIT ‑ Sell Digital Products is likely easier to set up, as it focuses on linking to existing content. Tevello Courses & Communities, with its focus on course creation and community building, probably requires more configuration.
Which app is better for creating a full online course?
Tevello Courses & Communities is significantly better for creating a full online course due to its built-in course creation tools, community features, and certification options. LinkIT simply sells access to pre-existing content.
Can I sell access to a private Facebook group with either app?
Yes, both apps claim this functionality. LinkIT explicitly mentions selling access to a Facebook Group. Tevello, while not explicitly mentioning Facebook groups, offers a broader focus on communities, suggesting it can likely handle this as well.
