LitExtension Store Migration vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
LitExtension Store Migration and Selling Point both address store data import needs for Shopify merchants in 2026, but they cater to distinct requirements. LitExtension positions itself as a comprehensive migration solution for merchants switching from other eCommerce platforms or consolidating data from diverse sources. It boasts support for 140+ platforms and various data types, including complex elements like metafields and multi-language content, appealing to established businesses with extensive and intricate data needing migration. Selling Point, conversely, focuses specifically on gift card and store credit migration, targeting merchants seeking to consolidate or transition their existing gift card programs to Shopify from various POS systems or other websites. Selling Point emphasizes ease of use and speed, promising migration in minutes rather than days, making it attractive to businesses primarily concerned with their gift card/store credit data. While LitExtension offers broader data migration capabilities, it may involve a steeper learning curve due to its wider feature set. The difference in review volume also suggests that LitExtension caters to a larger audience with more diverse data requirements, while Selling Point serves a niche but crucial aspect of data migration, making it a specialized tool for gift card and store credit management on Shopify.

Our Verdict
For merchants migrating their entire store or significant portions of it from another platform to Shopify, LitExtension Store Migration is the clear choice. Its wide platform support, ability to handle various data types, and additional features like 301 redirects provide a comprehensive solution for data integrity and seamless transition. However, for businesses solely focused on migrating gift cards and store credits, Selling Point offers a faster and more straightforward approach. Its specialized focus and ease of use make it the ideal solution for this specific need, especially for those wanting to avoid custom development or manual data entry. The higher rating of Selling Point, while based on fewer reviews, indicates high satisfaction among its targeted users.
