Our Verdict
For merchants operating their own local delivery fleet or managing a significant volume of store pickups, Local delivery + Pickup ‑ SE is the clear choice. Its comprehensive features for route optimization, driver management, and real-time tracking provide the tools needed to streamline delivery operations and reduce costs. The integration with Shopify POS and the inclusion of a driver app are particularly valuable.
However, for e-commerce businesses primarily shipping orders via third-party carriers and struggling with WISMO inquiries and cart abandonment, SB Estimated Delivery Date ETA offers a more targeted solution. Its ability to provide accurate and visually appealing delivery estimates on product pages and at checkout can significantly improve customer satisfaction and conversion rates. The rule-based ETA calculation and customizable templates make it easy to tailor delivery estimates to specific products, regions, and shipping methods. Shopify Plus merchants also get an additional feature to show the longest EDD on checkout.
