Locksmith vs QuickBooks Online Globalfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, both Locksmith and QuickBooks Online Global offer Shopify merchants solutions within the 'Store management' category, but they cater to significantly different needs. QuickBooks Online Global, with a higher rating (4.9/5) and a much larger review volume (2704), likely focuses on streamlining financial management and accounting processes for global e-commerce businesses. This suggests a broader adoption and potentially a more robust feature set related to financial reporting, tax compliance, and multi-currency support. Locksmith, on the other hand, has a rating of 4.7/5 with far fewer reviews (293), indicating a potentially niche application. The name suggests its core function revolves around controlling access or restricting specific content or areas within a Shopify store. This might involve features like member-only content, product restrictions based on location, or exclusive access for VIP customers. Its lower review count suggests it's likely used by merchants who need specialized store access control features rather than broad financial management. The fundamental difference lies in their functionality. QuickBooks Online Global offers comprehensive accounting features for managing finances, while Locksmith provides tools for managing access control and restricting certain content on the Shopify store. Choosing between them depends entirely on whether a merchant needs robust accounting features or store access control features.

Our Verdict
QuickBooks Online Global is the clear choice for merchants seeking a robust accounting solution, especially those operating internationally and requiring features like multi-currency support and advanced financial reporting. Its higher rating and significantly larger review base suggest a well-established and reliable platform for managing business finances.
Locksmith is best suited for merchants who need granular control over who can access specific content or products within their store. This includes businesses offering membership programs, exclusive content, or those who need to restrict access based on location or other criteria. While it has a lower review count, its targeted functionality makes it ideal for merchants with specific access control needs.
