Locksmith vs Ymq B2B & Wholesale Solutionfor Shopify (2026)
Locksmith and Ymq B2B & Wholesale Solution are both Shopify apps operating in the 'Accounts and login' category, but they serve fundamentally different purposes. Locksmith, judging by its name and category, likely focuses on access control and customer account management, suggesting features for content restriction and user segmentation beyond basic Shopify capabilities. Ymq B2B & Wholesale Solution, on the other hand, is explicitly designed for merchants managing wholesale operations alongside their retail business. It aims to streamline B2B sales with features such as wholesale pricing tiers, customer tagging, order minimums, and automated tax compliance. Ymq B2B & Wholesale Solution provides an all-in-one approach for merchants already engaged in or planning to enter the wholesale market. It offers comprehensive B2B-specific functionalities, reducing the need for multiple apps. While it has slightly higher rating of 4.8/5, it has fewer reviews (183) than Locksmith (4.7/5, 293 reviews), suggesting that Locksmith has a broader user base, or has been around for longer. This doesn't necessarily mean Locksmith is superior but indicates potentially wider applicability or longer market presence. Merchants needing B2B specific function should lean towards Ymq B2B & Wholesale Solution

Our Verdict
The choice between Locksmith and Ymq B2B & Wholesale Solution depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If a merchant requires robust access control and customer segmentation features, Locksmith is likely the better option. However, if the merchant needs to manage a wholesale business, with specialized pricing, customer management, and order processing tailored to B2B sales, Ymq B2B & Wholesale Solution is clearly the preferred choice.
For merchants solely focused on retail and concerned about restricting access to specific content or features on their store, Locksmith appears to be the more appropriate application. Merchants should evaluate their priorities before installing either app.
