Loop Subscriptions App vs Payflow: COD & Payment Methodsfor Shopify (2026)
Loop Subscriptions App and Payflow: COD & Payment Methods cater to distinct segments of the Shopify merchant ecosystem. Loop targets businesses aiming to cultivate recurring revenue streams through subscriptions, offering a comprehensive suite of tools for managing subscriptions, bundles, payment recovery, and customer retention. Its focus is on converting one-time buyers into loyal subscribers and optimizing the subscription experience. Payflow, on the other hand, addresses the specific needs of merchants leveraging Cash on Delivery (COD) and seeking granular control over payment and delivery method presentation. It streamlines COD processes, minimizes post-purchase order edits, and provides advanced conditional logic for tailoring the checkout experience based on various factors. The primary difference lies in their core functionality: Loop Subscriptions is designed to manage and optimize subscription offerings, while Payflow is designed to enhance COD management and payment/delivery customization. Loop boasts features like automated workflows, subscription bundles, cancellation flows, and a customer portal, emphasizing long-term customer relationships and increased Average Order Value (AOV). Payflow focuses on simplifying COD, offering advanced conditional rules for hiding, renaming, and reordering payment and delivery options. The choice between the two heavily depends on the merchant's business model and priorities.
