Our Verdict
Loox is likely better suited for merchants who prioritize visually stunning displays of social proof and integration across multiple sales channels and platforms and can benefit from extensive widget customization. The higher review count suggests a more mature app with a larger user base and more established processes. Rapid Reviews appears ideal for merchants with a strong focus on page speed optimization and efficient review management, especially those that operate in multiple languages and are interested in newer technologies like AMP for email review requests. It focuses on functionality over aesthetics.
Common Questions
Which app has a better reputation?
Loox has significantly more reviews (6980) compared to Rapid Reviews (114), suggesting a larger user base and longer market presence. While Rapid Reviews has a perfect 5/5 rating, the lower number of reviews makes it harder to assess its overall reputation compared to Loox's 4.9/5.
Which app is better for optimizing page speed?
Rapid Reviews explicitly highlights its commitment to page speed performance, stating it "will not harm page speed" and emphasizing "ultra-fast rendering of star ratings". Loox also claims to minimize slowdown, but Rapid Reviews places a greater emphasis on this aspect, making it the potentially better choice for merchants prioritizing speed.
Which app is easier to set up?
Rapid Reviews mentions "Simple setup with theme app blocks," suggesting an easy installation process. Loox emphasizes its compatibility with all themes but doesn't explicitly claim a simpler setup than Rapid Reviews. More information would be needed to definitively determine which app is easier to setup.
Which app is better for global merchants?
Rapid Reviews has explicit language support for en, es, fr, it, de, nl, sv, pl, hr, lv, pt-br, pt-pt, vi, jp, making it far more suitable than Loox for merchants targeting multiple language markets. Loox does state it supports multiple languages, but the exact languages aren't specified.
Which app offers better options for visual customization?
Loox explicitly emphasizes its “beautiful widgets that match your brand including carousels, pop-ups, and badges,” while Rapid Reviews lacks specific mentions of extensive visual customization. Therefore, Loox provides more options for visual customization.
