Loyal • Customer Segments vs WhatsApp Connect ‑ Nextelfor Shopify (2026)
Loyal • Customer Segments and WhatsApp Connect ‑ Nextel offer vastly different approaches to enhancing a Shopify store's performance in 2026. Loyal • Customer Segments focuses on leveraging customer data (recency, frequency, monetary value - RFM) to create targeted email marketing campaigns via Klaviyo, aimed at increasing customer loyalty and sales. It provides tools for automatic customer tagging and tracks key metrics like Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV). In contrast, WhatsApp Connect ‑ Nextel emphasizes direct customer engagement through WhatsApp, automating marketing and support functions, including abandoned cart reminders, order updates, bulk promotional campaigns, and AI-powered customer support. Our Verdict
Choosing between Loyal • Customer Segments and WhatsApp Connect ‑ Nextel depends on a merchant's marketing strategy and customer communication preferences. Loyal • Customer Segments is a solid choice for businesses heavily invested in email marketing and seeking to refine their campaigns through customer segmentation. If you use Klaviyo, it's almost a no-brainer. However, the low number of reviews may warrant further investigation.
WhatsApp Connect ‑ Nextel is advantageous for merchants who want to capitalize on WhatsApp's popularity for immediate communication and enhanced customer support.
