Our Verdict
For merchants requiring a robust solution for order personalization, custom product options, and upsell capabilities, Magical Custom Fields & Upload is the clear choice. Its positive rating, established user base, and comprehensive feature set make it a reliable option, especially for Shopify Plus users needing checkout custom fields. It seems suited for established businesses that need the flexibility and advanced logic to apply custom fields.
PrintXpand ‑ Design Tool's lack of ratings, reviews, and feature information makes it difficult to recommend. It might be suitable for merchants with very basic file upload needs who are willing to take a risk on an unproven app, but even then, a free or low-cost alternative with positive reviews might be a safer starting point.
