Magical Make an Offer vs Rockit Discounts & Sales Appfor Shopify (2026)
Magical Make an Offer and Rockit Discounts & Sales App both address pricing optimization on Shopify, but they do so in fundamentally different ways. Magical Make an Offer centers around negotiation and customer-driven pricing through 'Make an Offer' and 'Pay What You Want' functionalities. It empowers buyers to propose their ideal price, allowing merchants to accept, decline, or counter-offer. Rockit Discounts & Sales App, on the other hand, focuses on structured sales campaigns and bulk discounting. It streamlines the process of scheduling sales, applying discounts across products, collections, or the entire store, and displaying compelling sale information to create urgency. The core difference lies in their approach: Magical Make an Offer is dynamic and interactive, aiming to capture sales through personalized negotiation. It is better for higher value products where negotiation is common. Rockit Discounts & Sales App is programmatic and schedule-driven, employing discounts and sales promotions to drive volume. Rockit is better for moving older inventory, and generally works best in high volume, low-value goods. This distinction makes them suitable for different types of businesses and sales strategies. While both aim to increase sales, their methods and the types of products they are best suited for differ significantly.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking to implement personalized pricing strategies and engage customers in price negotiation, Magical Make an Offer is the superior choice. Its 'Make an Offer' and 'Pay What You Want' functionalities provide a unique approach to driving sales and building customer relationships, especially for higher-priced or unique items where price sensitivity is a factor. The ability to automate offer acceptance, rejection, and countering adds significant convenience.
However, for merchants focusing on volume-driven sales and running regular promotional campaigns, Rockit Discounts & Sales App offers a more robust and efficient solution. The app's bulk price editing, sales scheduling, and discount display features make it ideal for managing large inventories and executing successful flash sales or seasonal promotions. If the primary goal is to quickly adjust prices and create urgency around limited-time offers, Rockit Discounts & Sales App is the better option.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing average order value (AOV)?
Magical Make an Offer, with its cart/order offer functionality, could potentially increase AOV by encouraging customers to make offers on multiple items. Rockit Discounts & Sales App might increase the number of units sold, but not necessarily AOV.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
While both apps aim for user-friendliness, Rockit Discounts & Sales App likely has a slightly shorter learning curve due to its more straightforward feature set focused on scheduling and bulk pricing. Magical Make an Offer's negotiation rules might require more initial configuration.
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, but careful planning is required. Running a general discount sale with Rockit Discounts & Sales App while simultaneously allowing customers to make offers on individual products using Magical Make an Offer could lead to confusion or unintended pricing scenarios. It is important to separate product lines, or limit discounts to fixed percentages that cannot be undercut by customer negotiation.
Which app provides better analytics and reporting?
Magical Make an Offer explicitly mentions built-in analytics for tracking offers and revenue, suggesting a more focused reporting capability on negotiation performance. Rockit Discounts & Sales App may offer more general sales reporting related to discount performance, but this is not explicitly stated.
Which app is better for product bundles or combos?
Magical Make an Offer allows customers to name their price for multiple items or entire carts. Rockit Discounts & Sales App does not specifically state support for product bundles, thus, Magical Make an Offer may be a better fit.
