magnalister vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
magnalister and Selling Point, while both categorized under 'Selling online,' serve fundamentally different needs for Shopify merchants in 2026. magnalister is designed for merchants looking to expand their sales channels by integrating their Shopify store with major online marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Etsy. It focuses on streamlining product listing, inventory management, order synchronization, and invoice handling across multiple platforms. Its strength lies in automation and centralized control, helping merchants manage multi-channel sales efficiently. Selling Point, on the other hand, addresses the specific challenge of migrating or importing gift cards and store credits from other platforms or POS systems into Shopify. Its primary strength is simplifying what was previously a complex and costly process, enabling merchants to quickly transfer existing customer value into their Shopify store. Its target audience is merchants switching to Shopify or consolidating their systems, seeking a fast and efficient way to manage their gift card and store credit balances. The feature of bulk generation and auto-sending is a plus for marketing promotions. Given these fundamentally different focuses, choosing between the two depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs.

Our Verdict
For merchants focused on scaling their business by selling on multiple online marketplaces, magnalister is the clear choice. Its automation features and centralized management capabilities are specifically designed to simplify the complexities of multi-channel sales. The 30 day free trial makes it easy to test the water.
However, if the primary concern is migrating existing gift card or store credit balances from a previous platform to Shopify, Selling Point is the far more suitable option. It addresses a specific pain point with a focused solution, saving merchants time and resources compared to manual methods or custom development. While a lower review count (25 for magnalister and 45 for Selling Point) may seem to indicate less credibility for magnalister, its slightly lower average rating suggests there may be specific issues some users have faced. However, this should be viewed in light of the fact that their intended uses are very different.
