MAPPY: Store Locator & Maps vs MIDA: Heatmap, Replay Checkoutfor Shopify (2026)
MAPPY: Store Locator & Maps and MIDA: Heatmap, Replay Checkout are both highly-rated Shopify apps (4.9/5) that fall under the 'Operations' and 'Analytics' categories. However, their functionalities and target audiences are drastically different. MAPPY focuses on providing a robust store locator solution, enabling merchants with physical storefronts to connect customers with nearby locations through interactive maps. It offers features like bulk import of locations, dealer forms, and customer search record analysis. In contrast, MIDA appears to concentrate on website behavior analytics, using heatmaps and replay checkout to help merchants understand how users interact with their online store and optimize the checkout process. MIDA's description does not relate to a store locator at all.

Our Verdict
Choosing between MAPPY and MIDA depends entirely on the merchant's business needs. MAPPY is the clear choice for businesses with brick-and-mortar locations seeking to improve discoverability and drive foot traffic. Its features like bulk import and dealer forms are specifically tailored for this purpose. On the other hand, MIDA is designed for e-commerce businesses aiming to understand user behavior on their website and optimize the checkout process for higher conversions. There is no overlap in their functionality. A merchant cannot use MIDA as a substitute for MAPPY or vice versa. MIDA is superior if the merchant's goal is online optimization; MAPPY is superior if the goal is to facilitate in-person sales through a store locator.
