Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants who manufacture their own products or assemble them from raw materials, Materials Inventory is the better choice. Its features around bills of materials, raw material tracking, and profitability calculations are specifically tailored to this business model. It also has considerably more reviews. Stockistly is the ideal solution for businesses that rely on external suppliers like dropshippers or wholesalers and need to automate inventory synchronization from various sources. The ability to handle different file formats and set custom sync schedules makes it highly versatile for businesses with complex supply chains. If preventing overselling caused by inaccurate supplier data is a key priority, Stockistly is likely the better option.
