Mechanic vs SupaEasy: AI Functions creatorfor Shopify (2026)
Mechanic and SupaEasy: AI Functions creator, both target Shopify merchants needing workflow automation, but their approaches and target audiences differ significantly. Mechanic positions itself as an enterprise-grade, scalable automation platform, boasting 355+ pre-built automations and extensive integrations. It emphasizes reliability and power, leveraging Liquid for custom automation development. This suggests it caters to larger businesses or those requiring complex, customized workflows and are comfortable with (or have access to) Liquid developers. SupaEasy, on the other hand, focuses specifically on replacing deprecated Shopify Scripts with new Shopify Functions, using AI to generate discounts, shipping, payment, and validation functions without requiring coding. SupaEasy's strength lies in its ease of use and accessibility, especially for merchants without coding expertise who need to customize their checkout experience. Its recognition as a ShopTank winner further validates its value proposition. While Mechanic provides a broad automation platform, SupaEasy offers a targeted solution for a specific (but crucial) area of Shopify stores. The choice between them depends heavily on the merchant's technical capabilities, scale of automation needs, and specific area of the store requiring automation.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking a comprehensive, scalable automation platform to handle a wide range of workflows, and who have the technical expertise (or are willing to hire someone with Liquid skills), Mechanic is the better choice. Its extensive library of automations and integrations offers significant potential for streamlining business processes. However, for merchants primarily concerned with customizing their checkout experience – specifically discounts, shipping, payment, and validation – and who lack coding skills, SupaEasy: AI Functions creator is the superior option. Its AI-powered function generation makes complex customizations accessible to everyone.
Ultimately, if replacing deprecated Scripts and gaining control over checkout is paramount, SupaEasy is the clear winner. If a broader, enterprise-level automation solution is needed, and the merchant has the technical resources, Mechanic is the better fit.
