Meeri: Push Notifications vs Progressier — PWA & Web Pushfor Shopify (2026)
Meeri: Push Notifications and Progressier — PWA & Web Push both aim to enhance customer engagement, but they approach it from different angles. Meeri focuses specifically on leveraging AI-powered web push notifications to drive sales through targeted campaigns like abandoned cart recovery, flash sales, and personalized promotions. Its strength lies in optimizing existing website traffic and converting window shoppers into paying customers. Progressier, on the other hand, transforms a Shopify store into a Progressive Web App (PWA) to improve user experience and app-like functionality across devices. Progressier aims for a holistic mobile experience by enabling installation on various devices and features like app screenshots, a universal installation page, and a testimonial wall. The apps offer overlapping functionality in web push notifications. However, Meeri focuses heavily on sales-driven campaigns while Progressier sees web push as one feature within a wider app aimed at overall user experience and app-like functionality. Therefore, the target audience differs; Meeri aims at stores seeking immediate sales boosts, while Progressier is for stores wanting a branded app-like experience.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing immediate sales boosts and automated cart recovery through targeted web push notifications, Meeri: Push Notifications is the better choice. Its AI-powered campaign creation and focus on converting existing website traffic directly translate to revenue. The app is perfect for Shopify stores that struggle with abandoned carts and wish to run frequent flash sales effectively.
However, if the goal is to create a cohesive mobile app-like experience and improve overall user engagement through PWA features, Progressier — PWA & Web Push is more suitable. This app is the better option for stores that value a branded experience on mobile devices and want to make their store installable on a range of platforms.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the features described, Meeri likely has a simpler setup for merchants focused solely on web push notifications. Progressier's PWA functionality requires more initial configuration, including setting up the app's installability and appearance across devices.
Does Meeri support PWA functionality like Progressier?
Based on the descriptions, Meeri focuses on push notifications and doesn't explicitly mention PWA functionality. Progressier's primary function is to turn the store into a PWA.
Which app offers better customer support?
It's impossible to determine support quality based solely on app descriptions and ratings/reviews count. Further research into user feedback regarding support is required. Higher review volume of Meeri might suggest more users have engaged with support.
Which app is better for a beginner Shopify store owner?
Meeri might be better for beginners due to its more focused feature set on web push notifications for marketing. Progressier, with its PWA focus, might be overwhelming for a store owner still learning basic Shopify functions.
How does the pricing compare between Meeri and Progressier?
Pricing information is not provided. Merchants should compare the pricing plans of both apps directly within the Shopify App Store to determine which offers the best value for their needs.
