MenuLock ‑ Disable Right Click vs Salesdish Content Protectionfor Shopify (2026)
MenuLock ‑ Disable Right Click and Salesdish Content Protection both aim to protect Shopify store content from theft, but they approach this goal with different strategies and target slightly different merchant segments. MenuLock focuses on a broad range of content protection by disabling common copy-paste and saving actions, promising an 'annoyance-free' experience for customers. Its key selling point is ease of use and comprehensive protection against general content theft, including mobile device users. The user-friendly approach suggests a focus on smaller or less technically savvy merchants concerned about basic content scraping. Its lower rating might signify issues in reliability or effectiveness. Salesdish Content Protection, on the other hand, explicitly targets protection against competitors plagiarizing product descriptions and images. The app highlights the pain of discovering content theft and positions itself as a proactive solution to prevent such occurrences. While Salesdish has a perfect rating of 5/5, this is based on only 2 reviews, making it difficult to assess its reliability compared to MenuLock, which has a significantly larger review base of 31. Salesdish seems geared towards merchants heavily invested in original product content and concerned about competitive plagiarism.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned about basic content scraping and seeking easy-to-use, comprehensive protection, MenuLock ‑ Disable Right Click may be suitable. Its broader feature set, including mobile readiness, might be advantageous. However, the lower rating warrants careful consideration of recent reviews.
If a merchant's main concern is protecting unique product descriptions and images from direct competitor plagiarism, Salesdish Content Protection, despite having very few reviews, may be the better choice. Its focused approach directly addresses this specific pain point. However, the lack of reviews makes it difficult to fully assess its reliability. The ultimate decision hinges on balancing the breadth of protection, perceived risk of specific types of theft, and tolerance for potential app instability.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
MenuLock explicitly states easy installation, even when the theme changes. Salesdish doesn't specify ease of use, so MenuLock appears to be simpler for less technical users.
Which app is more reliable, given the ratings?
While Salesdish has a perfect 5/5 rating, it's based on only 2 reviews. MenuLock's 3.6/5 rating is based on 31 reviews, offering a more statistically significant (though still small) indication of performance, but potentially also indicating a greater risk of problems.
Does MenuLock completely prevent content theft?
MenuLock aims to make content theft more difficult by disabling common actions like right-clicking and copying. However, determined individuals can still find ways to extract content, such as taking screenshots or using browser developer tools. The app aims to deter casual theft, not guarantee absolute protection.
Does Salesdish offer protection beyond product descriptions and images?
Based on the provided information, Salesdish's primary focus is on protecting product descriptions and images. It is unclear if it offers broader content protection features.
Which app is better for mobile users?
MenuLock explicitly states that it works on mobile devices. Salesdish does not mention mobile compatibility, suggesting MenuLock is the better option for mobile-first stores.
