Our Verdict
If a merchant's primary concern is optimizing order fulfillment and reducing shipping costs by combining orders, MergeIt might be a suitable solution, assuming the app is reliable and the small number of reviews aren't a concern. However, the significantly higher number of reviews for Proveway provides greater confidence in its functionality. For merchants heavily reliant on PayPal and concerned about account holds, disputes, and delayed access to funds, Proveway PayPal Tracking Sync is likely the better choice. Proveway also offers a more comprehensive feature set around tracking visibility for customers.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Proveway likely boasts simpler initial setup given its primary feature is automated PayPal tracking synchronization. MergeIt may require more manual configuration to define merging rules.
Which app provides better ROI?
The ROI depends heavily on a merchant's needs. If order fulfillment is a major bottleneck, MergeIt could offer a higher ROI. However, Proveway's direct impact on PayPal account health and fund accessibility could be financially more valuable for PayPal-heavy merchants.
Does MergeIt integrate with PayPal?
The provided information doesn't indicate any PayPal integration for MergeIt. Its focus is on order merging within Shopify, not payment processing or dispute resolution.
What happens if a customer disputes an order synced by Proveway?
Proveway aims to reduce disputes by providing PayPal with tracking information, making it easier to prove successful delivery. However, it doesn't guarantee dispute resolution in the merchant's favor. The evidence from synced tracking helps strengthen the merchant's case.
Which app is more suited for a dropshipping business?
Proveway PayPal Tracking Sync could be particularly valuable for dropshipping businesses as it automatically syncs tracking information, helping to build trust with PayPal and avoid account holds that are common in dropshipping due to longer shipping times and reliance on third-party suppliers.
