Mergify: Combine, Merge Orders vs OrderSplit Pro ‑ Split Ordersfor Shopify (2026)
Mergify and OrderSplit Pro address opposite sides of the order management spectrum. Mergify focuses on *combining* orders to reduce shipping costs and streamline fulfillment by consolidating multiple orders into a single shipment. It appears to be aimed at merchants who frequently have customers placing multiple, similar orders. OrderSplit Pro, conversely, is designed for *splitting* orders to optimize complex fulfillment workflows. Its target is merchants who need to route different items within a single order to different locations or vendors, enabling more efficient and precise fulfillment processes. While Mergify promises cost savings through consolidated shipping and simplified inventory management, OrderSplit Pro prioritizes operational efficiency by automating order division based on various criteria like SKU, vendor, or location. The significant difference in ratings (0/5 vs 5/5) and the number of reviews (26 vs 10) should be considered, although the lower number of reviews for OrderSplit Pro could indicate a niche audience. One tool helps merchants reduce shipping costs for customers that ordered multiple times, while the other is beneficial for merchants that want to split up a single order for efficient fulfillment.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Mergify and OrderSplit Pro depends entirely on your specific business needs. If you're looking to consolidate multiple orders from the same customer to save on shipping and streamline basic fulfillment, Mergify is designed for that. However, the 0/5 rating warrants extreme caution; further investigation into the negative reviews is crucial before considering this app.
OrderSplit Pro, on the other hand, caters to merchants with more complex fulfillment scenarios, like those dealing with multiple vendors or fulfillment locations. Its ability to split orders based on various criteria makes it ideal for businesses needing precise control over where and how their products are shipped. Given its high rating, it appears to deliver on its promise of streamlining complex fulfillment workflows. If you are a multi-location or dropshipping merchant, OrderSplit Pro will likely benefit your business greatly.
