Mergify: Combine, Merge Orders vs Relocate+ Order Editorfor Shopify (2026)
Mergify: Combine, Merge Orders and Relocate+ Order Editor both target Shopify merchants looking to optimize their order management, but they address very different aspects of the order process. Mergify focuses on back-end efficiency by merging multiple orders into single shipments, aiming to reduce shipping costs and streamline fulfillment. Relocate+ Order Editor, in contrast, prioritizes customer self-service and satisfaction by empowering customers to edit their orders directly, reducing support requests and returns. The core difference lies in the target user and the problem each app solves. Mergify is geared towards merchants who handle a high volume of orders with similar destinations and are looking for cost-saving opportunities in their shipping process. Relocate+ Order Editor caters to merchants who experience frequent customer inquiries and requests for order modifications, and are willing to provide more control to their customers to enhance their experience and reduce manual support overhead. The extremely low rating of Mergify should be a significant red flag.

Our Verdict
Relocate+ Order Editor is the clear winner for merchants prioritizing customer satisfaction and aiming to reduce support tickets related to order changes. Its high rating and customer-centric approach make it a safer and more appealing choice. The ability to create custom rules gives merchants good control, while empowering customers to self-serve.
Mergify, despite its promise of cost savings, is difficult to recommend given its 0/5 rating. Unless the merchant is willing to take a significant risk and heavily test the app before full implementation, Relocate+ Order Editor represents the better option. If the underlying issues causing Mergify's poor reviews are fixed, it *could* be a valid option for merchants processing a large volume of similarly destined orders, *assuming* the cost savings outweigh the risks and potential support issues.
