Our Verdict
For merchants looking for a comprehensive solution to manage metafields, including storefront display options without coding, data backups, and a browser extension for easier administration, Metafields Guru appears to be the stronger choice. Its higher rating and substantial review count further suggest a reliable and user-friendly experience.
However, if a merchant's priority is broad metafield editing across various store resources (shops, products, customers, etc.) and values highly responsive 24/7 support, Metafields2 might be a better fit. Especially if the merchant has experience using code or prefers more targeted solutions. Despite the lower rating and fewer reviews, the app's focus on support and editing flexibility could outweigh the advantages offered by Metafields Guru for some users.
