Our Verdict
The choice between Metafields Guru and Press Loft Affiliate Network is straightforward based on a merchant's specific needs. Metafields Guru is a significantly stronger offering *if* the merchant is looking for a comprehensive solution to manage and display custom product data and customize their storefront without coding. The abundance of positive reviews (232 with a 5/5 rating) speaks to its user-friendliness and effectiveness.
However, if a merchant *only* wants to participate in the Press Loft Affiliate Network and automatically track sales generated from that specific source, Press Loft Affiliate Network is the relevant (though currently unrated and unreviewed) app. But even in this specific case, the lack of ratings and reviews compared to Metafields Guru makes it a riskier choice. A merchant should independently verify the app's functionality and support before committing to it.
Common Questions
Can Metafields Guru track sales from Press Loft Affiliate Network?
No, Metafields Guru focuses on managing and displaying data *within* your Shopify store. It doesn't directly track affiliate sales from external networks like Press Loft.
Does Press Loft Affiliate Network allow customization of metafields?
No, Press Loft Affiliate Network is solely designed for tracking sales generated through its affiliate network. It doesn't interact with or customize metafields.
Which app is easier to use for a non-technical user?
Metafields Guru is described as having an 'intuitive UI and user-assisting features,' making it likely more accessible to non-technical users, although some comfort with data entry is still recommended. Press Loft Affiliate Network is a simple app with minimal features, so probably fairly easy as well, however, without reviews or ratings this claim cannot be substantiated with data.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Yes, these apps address entirely different needs and can coexist without conflict. One manages internal data, the other tracks specific affiliate sales.
Why does Press Loft Affiliate Network have no reviews?
The app could be new, have a limited user base, or users may not be inclined to leave reviews. A lack of reviews doesn't necessarily indicate a poor app, but it does mean there's limited social proof of its effectiveness.
