Common Questions
Which app is better for managing product specifications?
Metafields Guru is better for managing and displaying product specifications on the storefront using metafields. Report Toaster can report *on* those specifications if they're stored as metafields, but isn't designed for their creation or direct modification.
Can Report Toaster display data from Metafields Guru?
Report Toaster can potentially report on data stored in metafields, assuming it can access and interpret the metafield values. The description states it can get data from metafields. However, Metafields Guru focuses on managing and presenting the metafields themselves, not on reporting.
Which app is easier to use for a non-technical user?
Metafields Guru emphasizes its intuitive UI, Excel-like editor, and browser extension, suggesting it's designed for ease of use even by non-technical users. While Report Toaster provides report templates, the need to customize columns and filters might present a steeper learning curve.
Can Metafields Guru create reports on sales data?
No, Metafields Guru focuses on metafield management and storefront presentation. It does not offer reporting capabilities on sales data or other business metrics. That's the strength of Report Toaster.
Which app supports managing multiple Shopify stores?
Report Toaster explicitly supports multi-store reporting, allowing merchants to compare data from multiple shops. Metafields Guru does not mention multi-store support in its features.
