Our Verdict
For merchants who are focused on improving their store's underlying data structure and delivering highly customized experiences, Metafields Guru is the clear choice. Its robust features for creating, managing, and displaying metafields provide a powerful way to enhance a Shopify storefront. However, this comes with a potentially steeper learning curve.
Conversely, if a merchant is simply looking for a more convenient and efficient way to manage blog comments and reduce spam, Sunny ‑ Blog Comment Manager is the better option. Its email-based approach offers a significant improvement in workflow for blog engagement, even if it sacrifices the robust functionality of Metafields Guru. If a merchant has a vibrant blog and struggles with comment management, the trade-off of a lower rating for convenience is likely worthwhile.
