Metafields Guru vs Zigpoll Customer Surveysfor Shopify (2026)
Metafields Guru and Zigpoll Customer Surveys, while both operating within the Shopify ecosystem, address fundamentally different needs of merchants. Metafields Guru focuses on data structure and presentation, empowering merchants to customize their storefront by managing and displaying metafields without coding. It's geared towards enhancing product information, creating richer descriptions, and improving the overall customer experience through data-driven design. Zigpoll, on the other hand, is a customer feedback tool that helps merchants gather valuable insights through surveys deployed across various touchpoints like post-purchase, pre-purchase, and abandoned checkout. Zigpoll's strength lies in its ability to collect zero-party data, analyze it using AI, and integrate directly with Shopify's customer and order dashboards, enabling merchants to optimize marketing spend and conversion rates. While both apps aim to improve the customer experience, Metafields Guru does so through enhanced product presentation and data management, whereas Zigpoll does so through understanding customer sentiment and behavior using surveys. They both have impressive perfect ratings, but Zigpoll has significantly more reviews, indicating a larger user base and possibly wider adoption.

If the focus is on enhancing product data, customizing the storefront's appearance, and offering a unique, data-rich experience, Metafields Guru is the better choice. Its strengths lie in its metafield management capabilities and seamless integration with the Shopify admin panel.
However, if the merchant is more interested in gathering customer feedback, understanding customer sentiment, and optimizing marketing spend and conversion rates through data-driven insights, Zigpoll Customer Surveys is the superior option. Its strength is in its survey features, AI analytics, and integration with Shopify's customer and order dashboards.
