Our Verdict
For merchants who need to extensively manage metafields across a broad spectrum of Shopify resources, like shops, products, orders, customers, and blogs, Metafields2 is the better choice. Its focus on metafields and comprehensive support make it suitable for businesses with complex data structures requiring detailed customization. However, the CSV-based import/export for bulk editing might have a steeper learning curve.
If your primary focus is on efficiently editing product and variant data, including metafields, in a visually intuitive way, S‑BULK Excel Like Product Edit will be more appealing. Its spreadsheet-like interface simplifies bulk editing and provides powerful data transformation options like programmable triggers, suitable for merchants comfortable with Excel or similar tools. The lack of explicitly mentioned support and scope of resources supported may be a limitation for advanced requirements.
